It happened even to me when trying to search for some games online.Every search result site is shown as "This site may harm your computer". Inspite of such message I opened my trusted websites and played the games happily.

Glitch brings Google to a halt
Mountain View (California): Computer users doing Google searches during a nearly one-hour period on Saturday were greeted with disturbing but erroneous messages that every site turned up in the results might be harmful.
The company blamed the mistake on human error and apologized for any inconvenience caused to users and site owners whose pages were incorrectly labeled.
The glitch occurred between 9:30 am(EST) and 10:25 am (EST), Google Inc. said in an explanation on its company blog. Anyone who did a Google search during that time likely saw the message “This site may harm your computer” accompanying every search result, the company said.
Google said it routinely flags any search results with that message if the site is known to install malicious software in the background or otherwise surreptitiously, a practice aimed at protecting its users. Google said it maintains a list of suspicious sites based on criteria developed with StopBadware.org, a nonprofit project headed by legal scholars at Harvard and Oxford universities who research consumer complaints.
Saturday’s error happened when Google erroneously applied one of its periodic list updates in such a way that the warning would apply to all URLs, the company said in a statement.
The glitch was caught by on-call staff and the file was quickly fixed, Google said. Since the updates are applied in a staggered and rolling fashion, the errors began appearing at 9:27 am (EST) and disappeared no later than 10:25 am (EST), with the duration for any particular user approximately 40 minutes, it said. Sankranti and its speciality
Extracted:
MAKARA SANKRANTI
(14th Jan. 2007 To 16th Jan. 2007)
Every year 14 January is celebrated as SANKRANTHI or PONGAL.
Certain Hindu festivals are associated with the annual cycle of seasons. Pongal in the South is celebrated to mark the withdrawal of the southeast monsoons as well as the reaping of the harvest. It is the biggest harvest festival, spread over three days. Pongal denotes a sweet preparation made from rice. Each of the three days are marked by different festivities. The first day, Bhogi Pongal, is a day for the family. Surya Pongal, the second day, is dedicated to the worship of Surya, the Sun God. Boiled milk and jaggery is offered to the Sun God, and friends greet each other asking, "Is it boiled?" The answer: "Yes, it is." The third day of Pongal, Mattu Pongal, is for worship of the cattle known as mattu). Cattle are bathed, their horns polished and painted in bright colours, and garlands of flowers placed around their necks. The pongal that has been offered to the Gods is then given to cattle and birds to eat.
The advent of Pongal is associated with spring-cleaning and burning of rubbish, symbolizing the destruction of evil. Decorative designs or rangolis are traced on floors and on the day of the Pongal, the newly harvested rice is cooked in homes to acclaim the bounty of the gods.
In Madras, a rath yatra procession is taken out from the Kandaswamy Temple. In Madurai, Tanjore and Tiruchirrapalli, where Pongal is known as Jellikattu, bundles of money are tied to the horns of bulls, and villagers try and wrest the bundles from them. Community meals are made from the freshly gathered harvest and enjoyed by the entire village.
UTTARAAYANA PUNYA-KAALA
This holy day marks the commencement of the Sun's northern course in the Heavens - the Uttaraayana patha. This turn in the Sun's course takes place at the point of time when it enters the sign of Makara or Capricorn. From this day the day-duration increases and the night decreases. It is the harbinger of more light and sunshine in life and lessening of its darker aspects. This happy occasion is termed as Pongal in Tamilnadu and as Khichadi in northern Bharat - both of them being names of sweet delicacies specially prepared on that day!
Light symbolizes the warmth, i.e., the love and affection, the quality of the heart. In many areas of Bharat, this is symbolized by the distribution of til-gul - the til seed and jaggery. The til brimming with fragrant and delicious oil, stands for friendship and comradeship and jaggery for the sweetness of speech and behavior. The distribution of til-gul, therefore, forms a touching aspects of the Makara Sankramana celebration.
On the social plane, the Sankraanti carries a vital significance for national welfare. It is the warmth of love and fellow-feeling among the people of a country that ultimately makes them stand up in unison in adversity or in prosperity. It is the necessary lubricant to make the nation's machine work smoothly without friction. Even the great precepts of `liberty' and `equality' lose their meaning without the basic requisite of `fraternity' among the people. Fraternity alone will ensure a spirit of selfless service and sacrifice in the cause of fellow countrymen. Selfishness - the ultimate destructor of the social fabric - is cured and social consciousness generated where a spirit of fraternity is alive.
Sankraanti, signifying light, also gives the message of intellectual illumination. It is the capacity to discriminate between the right and the wrong, the just and the unjust, truth and falsehood, virtue and vice. It is this discriminative wisdom - Viveka - which leads the individual on the path of human evolution and human happiness. Mere dry reasoning power devoid of this insight will be like the charging of a wild horse without the stirrup and the rider.
The present-day galloping race of science and technology is indeed turning the modern civilization into such a `wild horse'. The looming and growing catastrophic consequences of air, water and soil pollutions are a few instances of how far our modern intellect has strayed away from the true path of intellectual enlightenment. Mahabhaarata defines pursuit of truth and real knowledge as that which leads to the welfare of all living beings - Yad bhootahitamatyantam tat satyamiti dhaaranaa.
It is this supreme light and intelligence coupled with the warmth of the heart alone that can ultimately lead to all-round human harmony and happiness.
The break of dawn heralding light also signifies the awakening of man from sleep. A day of physical, mental and intellectual activity ensues. It rouses the faculties of endeavour and diligent pursuit of one's duties in life. Sloth, indolence and sluggishness are shaken off giving place to vigor, vitality and manly efforts.
The Hindu philosophy has eulogized human endeavour as a supreme value without which nothing worth while can be achieved in life. Says a Subhaashita:
Udyamam saahasam dhairyam buddhisshaktih paraakramaha |
Shadete yatra vartante tatra devaassahaayakrit ||
The Gods will help those who display the six attributes of endeavour, daring, fortitude, wisdom, strength and valour.
The very last shloka of Bhagavad Gita also highlights the supreme necessity of the human efforts in every field of human attainment:
Yatra yogeshwarah Krishno yatra Paartho dhanurdharah |
Tatra shreervijayo bhootirdhruvaa neetirmatirmama ||
Where Lord Krishna the master of yoga is, and Arjuna, great among archers, there, surely enough, is wealth, victory and glory.
Makara Sankramana gives the call for the awakening of all these latent powers in man not only for the flowering of his individual personality to its fullest unfoldment but also for the well-being and glory of society as a whole.
It is for this holy day that Bhishma, after laying down his arms in the Mahaabhaarata war and lying on a bed of arrows, waited to give up his body. For, as the tradition goes, a person dying on this day reaches the Abode of Light and Eternal Bliss.
The biggest Mela - religious fair - on the face of the earth is held once in twelve years of Prayaag, the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. The Kumbha Mela which is now-a-days drawing nearly one crore of devotees - drawn from all castes and creeds, sects and languages and provinces, saints and commoners - is the most inspiring testimony to the intrinsic cultural unity of the Hindu world. It was in the Kumbha Mela of 1966 that the all-world organization of Hindus, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, held its first momentous World Hindu Meet. The Jagadgurus and Dharmaachaaryas, the Mathadhipatis and the scholars of all sects and creeds present there resolved to do away with the perversions which had entered into the Hindu society and to give it a new and dynamic thrust so as to make it capable of facing the many old and new challenges.
The birth of Swami Vivekananda on the Sankramana day is an inspiring indication of the passing of the long night of self-oblivion and birth of an effulgent era of resurgent Hinduism.
Synchronising of one of their greatest festivals with an extremely meaningful and regular phenomenon of nature speaks of an innate quality of Hindus. They look upon themselves as children of Mother Nature and strive to sip her milk of bounty in all fields, and seek to unfold all the qualities of their body, the head and the heart.
In short, Makara Sankramana embodies the ardent prayer of every Hindu heart
Asato maa sadgamaya
Tamaso maa jyotirgamaya
Mrityoormaa amritam gamaya
Lead me, O Lord, from untruth to Truth
from darkness to Light and
from death to Immortality.

'SATYAM' NO MORE STANDS FOR TRUTH
Two Days before i.e on Jan07 2009,Ramalinga Raju ,CEO of Satyam Computers admitted of fraud. Do not know how common people reacts for this, but for all IT professionals it was a SHOCK.
I personally had a couple of friends working in Satyam, their pain is understandable and I personally consider the unexpected incident as a learning experience for me.
All that I can do for now is to pray for the best to happen and let the IT industry be restored back in all its form.
Some (funny)conclusions I got are:
1) Wife and Husband should not be from the same company, because someone should get the salary for the month.
2) Believe in your work and talent rather than your company.
I finally conclude here by requesting readers to consider all the above points stated are my personal feelings and may be reflecting to any group.

Proposed Tallest Tower of INDIA

B’lore may house 100-floor tower, India’s tallest

Bangalore: Here’s some scintillating news that’s sure to cheer Bangaloreans as they welcome 2009. The city will soon be home to India’s tallest tower. The Karnataka government proposes to construct a 100-storeyed trade centre on the lines of New York’s erstwhile World Trade Center. Proposed locations are either the Race Course or the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd (KSDL) land at Rajajinagar.
Conceived and promoted by large and medium industries minister Murugesh R Nirani, an industrialist himself, the project is envisaged as a public-private partnership. “Nearly 10 investors have evinced interest in partnering with the government to build this skyscraper,’’ Nirani said. Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa is said to have given consent to the idea.
Nirani said financials of this venture have not been worked out, especially revenue-sharing with the private developer.
“Very soon, an expert agency will be involved to give a feasibility report,’’ Nirani said. Project work is expected to commence by March. The tower will offer office space, observation decks, restaurants, clubs, public parks, jogging tracks, multi-level shopping and parking areas.
According to the plan, a small portion—less than six acres—of the 64-acre Race Course would be used for the tower. Race Course is being considered for two reasons:it’s in the heart of the city and also because Bangalore Turf Club has been asked to shift to the outskirts by December 2009.
Large and medium industries minister Murugesh R Nirani said, “Even if this skyscraper takes less than six acres, rest of the Race Course area will be reserved for lung space.’’ But BTC officials have no knowledge of the move.
As for KSDL—which sits on 35 acres of prime land in Rajajinagar —the logic is the same. As the company is using only a few acres, the government might move KSDL to Dobbspet, near Tumkur. In both cases, Nirani said, land ownership will remain with the government.
The project will need multiple approvals: from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to ensure it doesn’t interfere with air-traffic routes; no-objection certificates from fire force, telecom, BWSSB, Bescom and pollution control boards.
According to a senior BBMP town planning official, “Bangalore earth capacity will support a 100-storeyed tower. Availability of road width, floor area ratio and sital area are vital components for any tall towers.’’
The official further said both identified locations fulfil these norms and they will try to work out how to progress.

Mental Krishna fails..

Film: Mental Krishna

Cast: Posani Krishna Murali, Satya Krishna, Brahmanandam, M S, Giri Babu, Ranganath, Naga Babu, Raghu Babu, Brahmaji and others

Director: Posani Krishna Murali
Producer: Mohan Vadlapatla
Release Date: 01/01/2009
Has it been a long time that you have seen a sleazy, sick and perverted kind of movie? Then perhaps 'Mental Krishna' will show you how to go insane without the slightest of inhibitions. Let us show how torturous the film is.
Story
Satya (Satya) is a beautiful daughter of a rich businessman (Giribabu) and her dream to make it to Indian School of Business is shattered when she fails to clear the test. However, she notices that the milkman who supplies milk to her gets an admission. Soon, she falls in love with him (wonder how TOEFL score can be a reason to fall in love) and decides upon marriage.
On the day of the wedding however, the milkman fails to turn up since he gets a personal obligation and decides against the marriage. Meanwhile, Muddu Krishna (Posani) who has an eye for Satya since a while enters the scene as his parents are good friends of Satya's parents and the elders decide to get both of them married.
Satya expects Krishna to be a nice man and compromises with her life. Soon she realizes Krishna is impotent, sadistic and he also has a gay lover bobby (Raghu Babu). Given his sadistic nature, he begins to suspect everything about Satya and embarrasses her in front of everyone. He tortures her to the maximum and then there is a final showdown.
Performance
Posani is the perfect fit for a sadist role and his looks and body language are most suited for this. But the way he appeared in night gowns is nasty and hard to accept.
Satya has shown the oomph in her without any qualms and did not hesitate to do some needless skin show for the role she has been offered. Her image has ruptured completely with this role.
Brahmanandam tried to evoke laughter but it was basically annoying, MS is a natural comedian so that suited him. Giri Babu, Ranganath, Delhi Rajeswari and other senior cast carried out their role mechanically. Naga Babu was usual, Brahmaji was boring. The others did not have much say.
The director has come out with a rather disgusting tale of suspicion woven with a sleazy presentation. The narrative was perverted and the dialogues were utterly disgusting, script was written with an ugly motive and the screenplay was poor. Music was just apt for the situation and the songs are annoying. Editing was numb and other departments need no mention here.
Analysis
Long time back, there was a movie called 'Upendra' starring the Kannada star Upendra. Using the 'filterless' methodology, Upendra started slamming the audience with his whims. Posani seems to have taken a lead from that and taken it to an extreme degree of perversion, his dressing in ladies nighties, talking about hair on women's legs are just a tip of the most pathetic thinking an individual can possess.
One really wonders if the censor board was anywhere present when the movie was given to them. Another major disappointment from this is Satya Krishna, having carried out a very neat and elegant image of her roles, she ended up turning out to be a sleazy side character who would drop clothes and get trampled at the drop of a hat. This is surely a very wrong move for her career. The film by no means is advisable to any class of audience. It is very sad to note that the New Year has begun on such a disastrous note for Tollywood.
Mental Krishna is horrible to watch.

How Funny!!!
After a 14-year fight, BSNL gets Rs 479 dues from govt
TIMES NEWS NETWORK
Vijayawada: Dial BSNL for its tenacity and persistence! After fighting for almost 14-and-a-half years, the BSNL could finally succeed in getting Rs 479 dues from the state government.
The dues pertained to a former Congress minister and after persistent rejoinders from the BSNL, the YSR government had to issue a GO (No 7245) by directing the general administration department (GAD) to pay Rs 479 to the BSNL, Vijayawada.
But why was the payment kept due for so long? The story goes like this. M K Baig, a Congress leader and collegemate of chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who had served as a minister in the Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy cabinet had a telephone (no 425250) working in the minister’s constituency headquarters till he lost the elections in 1994. The telecom department (as it was known then) realised a bill for an amount of Rs 40,664 for the month of July, 1994. In normal course, the state government should have cleared the bill in full but amid confusion the officials cleared the payment of Rs 40,185 due on Baig’s telephone bill, leaving an outstanding amount of Rs 479.
The ‘sincere’ telecom authorities then started sending notices and reminders to the state government demanding clearance of the dues. When there was no response from the government, the telecom officials kept issuing more rejoinders.
Finally, better sense prevailed. With the state government deciding to put an end to the ‘dues’ saga, GAD issued a GO three days ago for releasing the amount of Rs 479 towards BSNL account.
A senior telecom official hit the nail on the issue when he said: “It was a sheer waste of manpower and huge money on correspondence all these years.”
